YOUR LOT OR OURS?

The first step in your custom home journey is choosing a homesite to build on. We are happy to assist with this search and have helped numerous clients secure the right land for their homes over the years. Our pre-construction site evaluation is the best way to identify land-specific cost drivers before you purchase property. This no-obligation feasibility service is key as the homesite can have a significant impact on your build costs. We find this service very valuable to clients that are new to the area and to those who have exhausted their own land search efforts.

DESIGNING YOUR HOME

The fun starts at our model home and design center showroom. This is where you will collaborate with our team and select architects to define every aspect of your project. Flooring, cabinets, tile, paint, and more. All in one location.

Your budget is a mainstay while going through design. We provide guidance throughout this process and will alert you to any decisions that are not compatible with your financial plan. This limits any surprises when you receive your construction contract.

GUARANTEED FIXED-PRICE CONTRACT

A fixed-price contract is presented based on the specifications mapped out in the design process. We strive for transparency and believe in a no-surprises approach, so this contract and the associated construction timeline are guaranteed.

We encourage you to thoroughly compare construction contracts when talking with multiple builders. Be wary of contracts with escalation clauses and excessive allowance usage. An escalation clause on lumber or a cabinet package alone could easily skew the contract price $15,000−$20,000 on a modest size home. Many cost-plus contracts are produced using non-binding estimates and do not always cover change orders, municipality/permit issues, or certain warranty work. Cost controls are also not a priority since the contractor has no economic incentive to do so.

CONSTRUCTION WITH YOU IN MIND

You are never left in the dark during construction as each home is assigned a dedicated superintendent to communicate and collaborate with. Our superintendent team is comprised of a talented group of individuals with over 85 years of combined construction experience.

Clients can interface with their superintendent and build team during construction through our exclusive online construction management portal. This platform offers visibility into the day-to-day operations of your project with scheduling notifications, messaging, project status photos, and more. This is a great resource that documents all communication and creates efficiencies throughout construction.

STANDING BEHIND OUR PRODUCT

Anderson Homes is proud to offer two warranty options to our homeowners so they can enjoy their new home with absolute peace of mind. While Washington State does not require home builders to provide warranties, we understand the importance of having security and believe in being accountable for our products.

Our Builder Backed Service Program is standard with every home we build. This warranty offers a one-year workmanship defect warranty which covers any defects in materials or workmanship. The package also includes a six-year structural defect warranty.

We also offer a more comprehensive New Home Workmanship, Systems, and Structural Warranty Program as an option for each new home. This package includes a one-year workmanship warranty which guarantees protection against any defects in materials and/or workmanship, a two-year systems warranty which covers defects in the electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems of your home, and a ten-year structural defect warranty.
